Responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing and product development, Aron has challenged industry norms and empowered people to creatively fulfill their potential in the development and application of new solutions to challenging drilling problems.
At Ulterra, Aron has contributed to projects on five continents, working on location in several countries. He has enjoyed high-level involvement in the development of a number of flagship projects, including the company’s CounterForce, FastBack, OneShot, and SplitBlade drill bit technologies.
His rare combination of engineering background, broad business acumen and a customer-focused problem-solving mentality has allowed him to become a critical part of developing the strategic roadmap for Ulterra. Being able to approach customer problems from multiple points of view has allowed Deen to execute unique, creative solutions to the daily challenges faced by customers.
Due to his leadership qualities, Aron has become a very influential force within Ulterra, helping guide the organization through a period of rapid growth and managing the strategic drivers that ensure multiple teams are moving in the same direction. He has played an important role in building and shaping Ulterra, seeing it grow from a relatively unknown supplier to an industry leader with the top market share for PDC drill bits in North America, building a brand and company with which all employees and stakeholders are proud to be associated.
