Overview
Recently in the Permian Basin, a major operator utilized our new 12.25” WAV616 to drill their deep-set intermediate section in Midland County, Texas. The interval of 7,171 ft. was drilled with an average ROP of 212 ft/hr — setting the record for their fastest 12.25″ run of the year. With WaveCut™ technology, this operator achieved an ROP that was 73% faster than their annual average of runs greater than 7,000 ft.
The new bit design features wave-shaped blades to help disperse vibration and optimize performance.
