Overview
Recently, an operator in the Texas Delaware Basin put WaveCut™ technology to the test. Challenged to drill their longest 9.875″ section in the Permian Basin, this operator utilized Ulterra’s 9.875″ WAV616 and an Altitude Energy Partners motor to drill 8,032 ft. into the Wolfcamp A formation at an average ROP of 96 ft/hr.
The new bit design features wave-shaped blades to help disperse vibration and optimize performance.
